What happens after you close this tab?

The agent reruns your buyers' prompts in Gemini every morning. When an answer skips you, it drafts the fix on the page that should have been cited, and waits for your OK.

A morning in the app

Sample
  1. 06:00Ran “best AI CRM” in ChatGPT and Gemini.
  2. 06:02Neither named Attio. HubSpot came first in both.
  3. 06:03Drafted an answer-first opening. It waits for your approval.

It asks before it changes anything.

The agent drafts the change on your page and waits. Nothing reaches your site until you approve it, and the next morning it asks the prompt again.

Gemini tracking questions

  • Is the Gemini app the same as AI Overviews?

No. AI Overviews and AI Mode are Google Search features that follow Googlebot and snippet rules. The Gemini app is a separate assistant. Track AI Overviews and AI Mode with your rankings in the Rank Tracker.

  • Can I opt out of Gemini training but stay in Gemini answers?

Not with robots.txt. Google-Extended covers both training and grounding in the Gemini app, so blocking it removes you from both.

  • Why do the answers change between runs?

AI assistants don't give the same answer twice, even to the same question. One run is a snapshot, so the tracker reruns every prompt and reports how often you're named across runs, not whether you were named once.

  • Which prompts should I track?

Start with the questions a buyer asks before they know your name: "best X", "X alternatives", "how do I do Y". Unbranded prompts show whether you're found; branded ones show how you're described.

  • Can I track my competitors?

Yes. Add any domain and it gets the same numbers as yours: how often it's named, where it comes in, and which of its pages are cited.

  • Does a citation mean someone visited my site?

No. A citation is a link in the answer; a visit happens when someone clicks it. The tracker shows the citations, and AI traffic analytics shows the visits each assistant actually sends you.

See every answer that names you, and every one that doesn't.
