Top 8 Mangools Alternatives Compared (2026 Pricing)

Eight Mangools alternatives, with every price re-checked on the vendor's own pricing page on 2 September 2026. The 2026 filter isn't features or database size. It's whether a tool reports AI visibility at all, because AI Overviews now show up on 27.4% of the keywords we track (July 2026). Three of the eight document it; five don't.

The first thing I look at in a tool comparison isn't the feature list. It's what the tool can't see. A keyword app that reports ten blue links is describing a shrinking share of the result page. So this update prices everything against what the vendors publish today, and says plainly which tools report on AI results and which stay quiet about it.

What is Mangools?

Mangools is a suite of SEO tools designed to help website owners, marketers, and SEO professionals improve their website's search engine visibility and performance.

It offers a range of easy-to-use tools that focus on key aspects of search engine optimization, such as keyword research, backlink analysis, rank tracking, and site audits.

Mangools' has a keyword research tool that helps users find and analyze keywords with metrics like keyword difficulty, search volume, and trends. It focuses on finding long-tail keywords that can bring organic traffic.

Mangools homepage showing the five-app SEO suite: KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler

It also allows users to analyze search engine result pages (SERPs) for specific keywords to see how competitive they are. It helps in understanding the ranking factors and identifying opportunities.

Mangools also provides in-depth information about backlinks, helping users evaluate the quality of backlinks and identify link-building opportunities.

It also reports on a website's SEO health, checking on-page SEO, backlink profile, social media presence, and competitive performance.

With its rank tracking tool, it helps users track their website's ranking position for targeted keywords over time. It provides reports to track progress and analyze keyword performance in different search engines.

Mangools is known for its intuitive, user-friendly design, making it accessible for beginners and experienced SEO professionals alike.

That description hides something that matters when you go shopping for a replacement. Mangools isn't one product. It's five apps sold together: KWFinder for keyword research, SERPChecker for scoring a single result page, SERPWatcher for rank tracking, LinkMiner for backlinks, and SiteProfiler for site-level metrics. Most people who say they're leaving Mangools are actually leaving one or two of those five, and keeping the habit of the rest.

💡
Quick Insight: Replacing Mangools isn't one decision, it's five. Work out which of the five apps you actually opened last week before you compare price tags.

Pricing has moved since this post first ran. On Mangools' own plans and pricing page, checked on 2 September 2026, Basic is $61/month billed monthly or $37.70/month effective on annual billing ($452.40 up front). Premium is $81/month, or $52.70/month annually. Agency is $141/month, or $97.70/month annually. There's still a free tier with daily lookup limits.

For context, the 2024 version of this article quoted $29.90, $44.90 and $89.90. Every tier has risen. That's normal for the category, and it's the reason we now re-verify prices rather than carrying them forward. If budget is the whole reason you're reading this, our roundup of affordable SEO tools with verified prices covers the sub-$50 end in more detail.

Overall, Mangools is generally considered a great tool for keyword research and backlink analysis, making it a popular choice for users who want a simple, affordable alternative to the more complex, expensive SEO tools.

Why Would You Need an Alternative for Mangools?

Essentially, Mangools is a popular SEO toolset that offers a range of functionalities like keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking, and backlink analysis.

It's a solid tool, indeed, but the world of digital marketing is vast and filled with options that might better suit your unique needs.

If you're starting with the Mangools toolset, you may find it excellent for your immediate needs. However, as you scale up, you might end up needing something more capable and diversified.

Some of Mangools' competitors provide more in-depth analytical data, which can be an invaluable asset in a competitive digital market.

An alternative for Mangools might also come in handy if you find its learning curve a bit steep. Sometimes, switching to a user-friendly alternative can enrich your SEO experience, sparing you the mental load of trying to comprehend complex functionalities.

The reason that's new in 2026: the result page changed

Here's the pressure that didn't exist when Mangools' suite was designed. AI Overviews appeared on 27.4% of the keywords we track in July 2026, up from 18.9% in January, and on roughly 34% of SaaS and comparison-style queries, which are the exact SERPs an SEO tool buyer researches on. You can check which of your keywords trigger an AI Overview without a subscription.

Source: SEOmator crawling and analytics data, January to July 2026 (100K+ websites audited, 50M+ pages crawled, 1M+ keywords and prompts tracked monthly). Our panel is roughly 60% B2B SaaS, 20% e-commerce and 20% mixed, so comparison-query figures skew toward software SERPs. July is a partial month, 1–21 July.

📊
By the Numbers: AI Overviews hit 27.4% of the keywords we track in July 2026, up from 18.9% in January. On SaaS and comparison queries it's closer to 34%.

You don't have to take our word for the direction of travel, because the vendors have already repriced around it. Between the 2024 edition of this post and today, SE Ranking started metering AI prompts per day alongside keywords, Ubersuggest added AI Search Visibility tracking to every tier, SpyFu renamed its middle tier "Pro + AI", and Semrush restructured its entire lineup. When four vendors independently rebuild their price cards around the same capability, that capability has stopped being a nice-to-have.

That's the criterion I'd weight hardest in 2026, and it's the one column no other comparison on this query fills in honestly.

There's always room for improvement in SEO tooling. No one tool can meet all SEO needs for every business or individual.

Never get too comfortable with one tool. Always be on the lookout for something that could improve your SEO work.

How did we evaluate these Mangools alternatives?

Short version, so you know what this list is and isn't.

What we did. We opened each vendor's own pricing page on 2 September 2026 and recorded what was published there, ignoring the third-party blogs that recycle old numbers. We read each vendor's plan pages and product docs to work out what the tool covers, mapped every tool back to the Mangools app it stands in for, and pulled the SERP and audit figures here from SEOmator's own crawling network, dated to the month they were measured.

What we didn't do. We did not run all eight platforms hands-on for this update, and we won't pretend otherwise. This is a desk comparison of verified pricing, published capability and our own network data. Where a vendor doesn't document a feature, we say "not documented" rather than claiming it's missing, because a pricing page is a marketing artifact, not a spec sheet.

Two caveats. The G2 and Capterra scores and quotes are the ones captured when this article first ran in December 2024, and averages drift as new reviews land, so treat them as directional. And SEOmator is first on this list because we make it. Every competitor price here comes from that competitor's own page.

8 Mangools Alternatives You Should Explore

In the world of SEO, there's never just one solution and today we'll be exploring some leading alternatives to Mangools.

Each of these tools has established a strong foothold and are well-equipped to revamp your SEO game and propel you towards your digital growth goals.

Before the table, one migration hazard worth knowing about, because it catches teams that have been running the same workflow for years.

⚠️
Common Mistake: Assuming Keyword Difficulty transfers between tools. Each vendor computes KD on its own backlink index and its own scale, so the same keyword can carry a very different number in two apps. The "we only target KD under 40" rule your team has followed for years silently changes meaning the day you switch.

Re-baseline that threshold in the new tool on twenty keywords you already rank for, before you plan a quarter's content against it.

Here are the eight Mangools alternatives worth a look in 2026, with Mangools itself in the last row so you can see what you're comparing against.

#ToolBest forFrom (verified)AI visibility?
1SEOmatorAudits plus AI visibility$49/mo ($39 annual)Yes, GEO audit + prompt tracking

Mangools (reference)A simple five-app suite$61/mo ($37.70 annual)Not documented*

All prices re-checked on each vendor's own pricing page on 2 September 2026. *"Not documented" means the vendor's published plans didn't spell out AI-visibility tracking when we checked. Absence from a pricing page is not proof the feature doesn't exist.

1. SEOmator

SEOmator is an SEO tool designed to help website owners, digital marketers, and SEO professionals improve their website's search engine performance.

It offers a variety of free tools that allow users to analyze and optimize their websites for search engines like Google, with a focus on SEO audits, on-page SEO analysis, and competitor research.

SEOmator SEO audit dashboard, one of the Mangools alternatives covered in this comparison

🔑 Key Features

SEOmator provides detailed SEO audit reports that assess the health of a website by checking for errors and areas of improvement. It analyzes multiple SEO factors, including page speed, mobile-friendliness, metadata, and on-page SEO elements.

The tool generates a full audit report, highlighting errors, warnings, and suggestions for improvement to enhance the site's SEO performance.

SEOmator also analyzes individual web pages to check if they are optimized for search engines. It looks at factors such as keyword usage, meta tags, headings, content structure, internal linking, and alt attributes for images.

The tool provides suggestions to improve content and metadata, helping users optimize their pages to rank higher in search results.

SEOmator also offers keyword research capabilities, allowing users to find relevant keywords to target for better SEO performance. It allows users to track their keyword rankings across different search engines over time, helping them measure the effectiveness of their SEO efforts.

SEOmator also allows users to evaluate their backlink profiles and identify potential issues. Backlinks are an important factor in SEO, and SEOmator helps users understand the quality and quantity of backlinks pointing to their website.

Since mobile optimization is a ranking factor for Google, SEOmator tests websites for mobile compatibility. It evaluates how well a website performs on mobile devices and provides suggestions for improving the mobile user experience.

SEOmator's interface is designed to be simple and intuitive, making it accessible even to beginners who may not have in-depth SEO knowledge.

The platform allows users to generate customizable reports, which are useful for clients or team collaboration.

The part that's newer than the 2024 edition of this post: GEO auditing and prompt tracking sit in the same subscription as the crawl. More than half of the sites we audit, 52.8% in July 2026, still fail our AI/GEO readiness checks. That's a whole category of failure that barely existed when Mangools' suite was designed, and most of the tools on this list still don't report on it.

🔑
Key Takeaway: 52.8% of the sites we audited in July 2026 failed our AI/GEO readiness checks. If your tool only reports blue-link rank, that failure never shows up on your dashboard.

You can easily sign up to SEOmator's dashboard for free to access more features.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: teams that want a technical audit and an AI-visibility read in one subscription. If SiteProfiler was the app you leaned on, this is the closest swap here.

Skip it if: your main job is link prospecting at index depth. Our backlink data spots problems in your own profile; it isn't built to out-crawl Ahrefs.

🔎 User Reviews

SEOmator currently has 3.6 out of 5 stars on G2 with 20 reviews. On Capterra, it has 3.4 out of 5 stars with 7 ratings. One recent review on G2 even refers to SEOmator as the "best tool for all marketers".

That's the lowest headline score of the eight tools here, on the smallest review base of the eight. We're leaving it in rather than quietly dropping it.

💸 Pricing

SEOmator offers different pricing plans, including a 7-day free trial, to cater to a range of users from small business owners to larger enterprises. The Lite plan is $49/month, the Standard plan is $99/month and the Advanced plan is $279/month. Annual billing brings those to $39, $79 and $223/month effective. Figures taken from our own pricing page on 2 September 2026.

2. Semrush

Semrush is a full platform that works as a heavier alternative for those in need of a richer set of features and greater integration. It might seem a tad complex for beginners, but once mastered it is an unparalleled tool.

Competitive pricing paired with diverse functionalities like keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking, site auditing, and much more make Semrush a worthy contender in our list.

Semrush dashboard showing keyword research, domain overview and competitive analysis reports

🔑 Key Features

A vast keyword research tool featuring millions of keyword ideas, long-tail keywords, and location-based results proving substantial help in making your website SEO-friendly.

The platform offers plentiful keyword data such as volume, keyword difficulty, CPC, and more.

The rank tracking tool enables you to monitor your website's search engine rankings and keep a check on industry competitors, while site audit capabilities for improving your website's health and rectifying any SEO-related issues.

The content marketing toolkit adds topic suggestions, SEO content templates, and assesses the SEO potential of your drafts.

One of the shining features of Semrush is its capability to analyze your competitors. This feature truly sets Semrush apart as a data-driven Mangools alternative.

Semrush's extensive and customizable reporting makes this tool a must-have for any SEO professional seeking to understand their site's performance.

Semrush, as a Mangools alternative, is best for SEO professionals wanting an all-in-one tool that doesn't compromise performance. It's a one-stop-shop for everything SEO.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: teams that run organic and paid research together and will actually open the content, PR and advertising modules. If you only came for KWFinder's job, you'll pay for a lot of doors you never walk through.

Skip it if: you liked Mangools because it was five apps and no onboarding. Semrush's entry tier alone is roughly double Mangools Premium on annual billing.

🔎 User Reviews

Semrush currently has 4.5 out of 5 stars on G2 with 2304 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.7 out of 5 stars with 2259 ratings. One reviewer on Capterra describes Semrush as the "essential tool for SEO agencies".

💸 Pricing

Semrush has restructured its lineup, and the Pro, Guru and Business tiers that every older comparison post still quotes no longer exist. As published on Semrush's pricing page on 2 September 2026, the plans are SEO, Starter, Pro+, Advanced and Enterprise. The two figures we could read directly are SEO at $117.33/month and Starter at $165.17/month, both on annual billing. Pro+ and Advanced amounts render client-side and we couldn't capture them cleanly, so we won't invent them. Enterprise is quote-only.

🚩
Red Flag: If a 2026 comparison post still lists Semrush "Pro $139.95 / Guru $249.95 / Business $499.95", nobody checked. Those tiers were retired. Treat the rest of that post's prices with the same suspicion.

3. Ahrefs

A powerhouse for competitor analysis, Ahrefs also houses one of the most extensive backlink databases in the industry. You'll find its Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer, Content Analysis capabilities, and the Site Audit feature extremely user-friendly.

This SEO tool provides granular insights that let you dig into the digital strategies of top-performing competitors.

Ahrefs Site Explorer backlink report, the strongest LinkMiner replacement in this Mangools alternatives list

🔑 Key Features

This SEO tool is best known for its backlink analysis feature, but that's not all that it offers.

The site explorer tool presents a complete and detailed overview of a website's backlinks, organic keywords, and ranking profile, while the keyword exploring tool provides an in-depth look at keyword search volume, click data, and search difficulty.

Ahrefs also has extensive content analysis capabilities that can analyze top-ranking pages and offer ideas for new content.

Its rank tracking and site audit features ensure your website is always at its best performance. It's an excellent choice for marketers who want to keep a close eye on their competitors.

Ahrefs' backlink index is the one most link builders benchmark the rest of the market against, and Site Explorer is where that data surfaces. That single fact is why Ahrefs keeps showing up on lists like this one even at the top of the price range.

One feature that you will particularly enjoy is the ability to 'x-ray' your competitors' strategies. It allows you to analyze their top pages, backlinks, and keywords, providing you with actionable insights.

Ahrefs, as a Mangools alternative, is best suited for those with a significant focus on link building and competitor analysis.

But don't make the mistake of jumping over to Ahrefs without understanding the depth of information it provides. I'd budget real time to learn the interface before you judge the tool.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: link building and competitor teardown, which is exactly the LinkMiner job. If backlinks are why you're leaving Mangools, this is the upgrade.

Skip it if: your budget lives near Mangools Basic. Ahrefs Lite at $129/month is over twice Mangools Basic's $61 list price, and more than three times its annual-effective rate. Ahrefs also doesn't document AI-visibility tracking in its published plans.

🔎 User Reviews

Ahrefs currently has 4.5 out of 5 stars on G2 with 544 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.7 out of 5 stars with 570 ratings. One user on G2 described Ahrefs as "the lifesaver for the SEO industry".

💸 Pricing

Ahrefs offers 4 pricing plans for different needs. The Lite plan is $129/month, the Standard plan is $249/month and the Advanced plan is $449/month. Those three are unchanged since the 2024 edition of this post. The correction: Enterprise is no longer a published $1,499/month tier, it's quote-only now. Annual billing saves up to 17%. Verified on Ahrefs' pricing page, 2 September 2026.

4. Moz Pro

Moz Pro ranks as one of the longstanding SEO tools in the market. Moz Pro has been in the game for a long time, and they surely know how to play it right!

If you're looking for a tool that's deep but still readable, Moz Pro is an excellent addition to your digital toolbox. The ability to gather and compare keyword metrics, extensive site crawl features, and the on-page optimization tips all contribute towards making it a preferred Mangools alternative.

Moz Pro keyword explorer showing Domain Authority and difficulty scores for a keyword list

🔑 Key Features

It's an all-in-one suite that offers superior keyword research with the ability to gather and compare keyword metrics, an extensive site crawl feature that identifies and fixes any potential SEO weaknesses and a rank tracker that tracks your site, its performance and sends you regular updates.

Also, Moz provides very insightful data for on-page optimization. It flags critical on-page issues and provides suggestions for fixing them. Don't underestimate the power of on-page SEO; it is as essential to your SEO strategy as off-page activities.

One of its highlights, the Link Explorer helps SEO newbies and experts alike to understand their link profile and develop successful outreach strategies.

Moz Pro's metrics are straightforward and easy to understand, making it ideal for beginners in SEO. Domain Authority is the clearest example. It's a Moz metric, not a Google one, but it's the single number a non-specialist stakeholder grasps in one sentence, and that has real value in client reporting.

Make sure to check out Moz's free tools, especially MozBar. It's an incredibly functional SEO data provider, even when you're on the go!

Moz Pro isn't just an alternative to Mangools; it's an SEO suite that leads on on-page optimization and easy-to-understand metrics.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: anyone replacing SiteProfiler who wants a portable authority metric, or who has to explain SEO progress to people who don't do SEO.

Skip it if: AI visibility is on your requirements list. Moz doesn't document it in its published plans, and the same goes for prompt tracking.

🔎 User Reviews

Moz Pro currently has 4.3 out of 5 stars on G2 with 568 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.5 out of 5 stars with 348 ratings. A user on Capterra refers to Moz Pro as "an SEO tool that is unbeatable".

💸 Pricing

Moz Pro offers different pricing plans ranging from small businesses to large agencies. The Starter plan is $49/month, the Standard plan is $99/month, the Medium plan is $179/month and the Large plan is $299/month. Annual billing takes Standard to $79, Medium to $143 and Large to $239/month effective, and there's now a quote-only Enterprise tier above them. Verified on Moz's pricing page, 2 September 2026.

5. Ubersuggest

Neil Patel's SEO brainchild, Ubersuggest, brings simplicity and effectiveness to your SEO strategies. It offers an SEO analyzer for site audits, a versatile keyword research tool, and tool that generates content ideas, which all contribute towards making it an amazing tool.

If you are new to the SEO world or working with a limited budget, then Ubersuggest is an excellent Mangools alternative for you to consider.

Ubersuggest keyword suggestions with search volume and the SEO analyzer site audit report

🔑 Key Features

Ubersuggest originally started as a simple keyword suggestion tool but has evolved into a feature-rich platform offering several tools for your specific needs.

Its SEO Analyzer provides an in-depth site audit, reports on your SEO score, warnings, and recommendations.

The keyword research tool aids you in finding great short and long-tail phrases. It suggests helpful keyword ideas and also offers useful insights about trends, search volume, and competition.

The Content Ideas Generator gives content recommendations based on your preferred keywords, helping to guide your content creation process.

The site audit feature is good at identifying technical SEO issues that might be affecting your ranking.

Ubersuggest's site audit feature is another highlight. It provides a thorough analysis of your website, indicating errors and improvement areas in a concise manner. You can also analyze your competitors' backlink strategies.

The addition that matters most for 2026, and that the 2024 version of this post predates: every Ubersuggest tier now includes AI Search Visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview, plus AI prompt ideas inside keyword research. That's the cheapest published entry point to AI-visibility reporting on this entire list.

Do not overlook Ubersuggest because of its simplicity. It's a capable SEO toolkit that can provide excellent insight into your website's SEO health. If you appreciate simplicity without compromising performance, Ubersuggest is an ideal Mangools alternative.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: solo marketers and small sites on the tightest budget who still want an AI-visibility read. On price alone it undercuts Mangools Basic.

Skip it if: you need pricing you can forecast. Rotating promotions and lifetime deals mean the number you see today may not be the one a colleague sees next month. Data depth is thinner than the enterprise suites, too, which hurts competitive research more than self-audits.

🔎 User Reviews

Ubersuggest currently has 4.2 out of 5 stars on G2 with 141 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.4 out of 5 stars with 90 ratings. One user on G2 claims that "every online business needs to use Ubersuggest".

💸 Pricing

A correction first: the 2024 edition of this post listed Individual at $12/month, Business at $20 and Enterprise at $40. Those numbers are years stale and we're not republishing them.

As of 2 September 2026, the entry point on Ubersuggest's own pricing page is around $29/month, with one-time lifetime plans also on sale. Exact amounts render client-side and shift with whatever promotion is live, so treat $29 as the floor and check the page on the day you buy. It's the one tool here whose published price is a moving target.

6. SpyFu

SpyFu is a powerful tool for SEO and PPC competitive analysis. It provides in-depth insights into competitors' search strategies, helping users optimize their own SEO and paid advertising campaigns.

With its user-friendly interface, historical data, and affordable pricing, SpyFu is especially popular among small businesses, digital marketers, and SEO professionals who want to improve their search marketing strategies based on competitor data.

SpyFu competitor dashboard showing paid keyword history and archived Google Ads copy

🔑 Key Features

SpyFu allows users to research and track both organic and paid keywords. It shows which keywords competitors are ranking for and which ones they are targeting in their PPC campaigns.

It also generates keyword suggestions based on competitors' top-performing keywords, which helps users find new keyword opportunities.

Users can access historical data about keyword rankings, which is valuable for long-term SEO and PPC strategies.

The tool provides a full overview of a competitor's domain, including their estimated monthly traffic, and their backlink profile. SpyFu automatically identifies your site's top competitors based on shared keywords, allowing you to monitor and learn from their strategies.

SpyFu allows users to view the exact ads that competitors are running on Google Ads (AdWords). This feature is useful for understanding competitors' paid search strategies and creating more effective ad copy for your campaigns.

While SpyFu is primarily focused on keyword and competitor analysis, it also offers some backlink data. You can track backlinks pointing to your competitors' sites and identify link-building opportunities.

SpyFu also offers an API that allows users to integrate its data into other tools or platforms. This is useful for more advanced users who want to automate or customize their SEO workflows.

Lastly, it allows you to generate custom reports on various aspects of SEO and PPC, which can be used for client presentations or internal analysis.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: anyone whose competitor research is really ad research. Nothing else here shows a rival's actual Google Ads history the way SpyFu does, and that archive is why people keep the subscription.

Skip it if: keyword research and rank tracking are the Mangools jobs you're replacing. SpyFu does both, but you'd be buying a PPC intelligence tool to do an organic job.

🔎 User Reviews

SpyFu currently has 4.6 out of 5 stars on G2 with 512 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.5 out of 5 stars with 143 ratings. According to one review on Capterra SpyFu is the "best research tool for PPC out there!".

💸 Pricing

SpyFu's lineup has grown since 2024. It's three plans now, not two. Basic is $39/month, or $29/month on annual billing. The old Professional tier has become Pro + AI at $119/month, or $89/month annually. A Team/Agency tier sits above at $249/month, or $187/month annually. Annual billing saves 25%. Verified on SpyFu's plans page, 2 September 2026.

The rename is worth noticing. SpyFu put "AI" in a plan name and roughly $40/month behind it, which tells you where it thinks willingness to pay now sits. The plans page doesn't spell out what the AI tier actually covers, so SpyFu is "partly" in our table rather than a clean yes.

7. Serpstat

Serpstat is a solid all-in-one SEO platform that covers the essential SEO pillars: keyword research, backlink analysis, and competitor research. It provides a well-rounded suite of SEO tools in one platform that helps improve and maintain your website's health.

Whether you're focused on organic search, PPC, or content strategy, Serpstat provides the data and insights necessary to optimize your online presence.

Serpstat all-in-one SEO platform with keyword clustering and multi-engine rank tracking

Serpstat offers keyword suggestions based on competitors' websites and related searches, allowing you to expand your keyword list and find new opportunities.

Users can track rankings on Google, Yahoo, Bing, and even regional search engines, which is useful for international or local SEO campaigns. That multi-engine coverage is the single feature that makes Serpstat the closest match to SERPChecker's job on this list.

Also, Serpstat's site audit tool analyzes a website's on-page SEO elements, including metadata, headings, content structure, and internal linking, to identify areas for improvement.

It also checks for technical issues like broken links, page speed problems, and mobile usability, providing actionable recommendations to enhance the site's performance.

Serpstat allows users to analyze backlinks pointing to their site as well as their competitors' backlinks. It provides insights into the quality and quantity of backlinks, helping users identify opportunities for link-building.

It also provides tools for researching keywords related to paid advertising campaigns (PPC). You can explore keywords used in Google Ads by competitors, helping you identify cost-effective opportunities for your own campaigns.

Serpstat's content analysis tool identifies the best-performing content on competitors' websites, giving you inspiration for your own content creation efforts. It highlights topics and keywords that your competitors are covering but you're missing, helping you fill content gaps and target high-value topics.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: international and regional SEO, where you need rankings from more than google.com. The keyword clustering saves real hours on content planning.

Skip it if: you want AI visibility priced in. Serpstat's published plans don't document it, which puts it in the same bucket as Semrush, Ahrefs and Moz.

🔎 User Reviews

Serpstat currently has 4.6 out of 5 stars on G2 with 462 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.7 out of 5 stars with 169 ratings. One user on G2 considers Serpstat the "best SEO tool for keywords and website analysis".

💸 Pricing

Serpstat offers four pricing plans, and the 2024 edition of this post listed only three of them. Here they all are: Individual at $50/month, Team at $100/month, Team x2 at $169/month (that's the one that was missing), and Agency at $410/month. Annual billing saves up to 27%. Enterprise arrangements are quote-only. Verified on Serpstat's pricing page, 2 September 2026.

It provides historical ranking data, showing how rankings have changed over time, which helps track SEO performance and improvements. It also allows users to track rankings by location, which is especially useful for local SEO strategies.

SE Ranking helps users find relevant keywords for their SEO campaigns by providing a list of keyword suggestions based on competitors' keywords and search volume data.

The tool offers insights into how difficult it is to rank for a particular keyword, helping users prioritize keywords that are easier to rank for and suggests long-tail keywords, which are often more valuable for driving targeted organic traffic.

It also provides an in-depth site audit tool that checks for technical and on-page SEO issues. It analyzes factors like page speed, mobile-friendliness, meta tags, broken links, and content optimization.

SE Ranking also offers tools to track backlinks, including the ability to analyze the quality and status of backlinks. It also alerts users about lost or new backlinks, and provides a tool for identifying toxic or low-quality backlinks and disavowing them, which is important for maintaining a healthy backlink profile.

SE Ranking includes a feature for creating custom SEO marketing plans. It allows users to create and assign SEO tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. Teams can collaborate on SEO projects and share reports and tasks, making it easier to manage multiple users or clients.

The platform also enables users to generate detailed reports for SEO performance, keyword rankings, audits, and backlink analysis. These reports can be customized with the user's branding. Agencies can offer clients custom-branded reports, which helps maintain professionalism and brand consistency.

Lastly, SE Ranking provides tools for researching keywords related to PPC campaigns, allowing users to optimize their ad campaigns.

The 2026 change is structural. SE Ranking now sells itself as "SEO + GEO" and meters AI prompts alongside keywords in its plan limits: 100 a day on Core, 250 a day on Growth, plus a GEO research module. A vendor doesn't put a new unit of measurement on its price card unless customers are asking to be billed for it.

🎯 Best for, and when to skip it

Best for: agencies running many client projects, and anyone who wants rank and AI prompt visibility on one bill. Core covers 10 projects, 2,000 keywords plus 100 daily prompts and 250,000 pages a month of auditing.

Skip it if: you're a solo operator. Entry is $129/month list, more than double Mangools Basic's $61, and the allowances are sized for people managing other people's sites. Working alone and replacing SERPWatcher? See our Ranktracker alternatives for lighter options.

🔎 User Reviews

SE Ranking currently has 4.8 out of 5 stars on G2 with 1348 reviews. On Capterra, it has 4.7 out of 5 stars with 284 ratings. A user on Capterra describes SE Ranking as a "robust SEO platform that continues to rapidly develop roadmap features at a great value for cost".

💸 Pricing

This is the biggest correction in the article. The Essential, Pro and Business tier names no longer exist. The lineup published on SE Ranking's pricing page on 2 September 2026 is Core at $129/month ($103.20/month annually), Growth at $279/month ($223.20/month annually), and a quote-only Enterprise tier. There's a 14-day free trial.

Against the $52 entry price the 2024 edition quoted, the shape of the change is clear: entry roughly doubled, and what you get for it now includes AI prompt tracking that didn't exist at the old price.

Which Mangools app does each alternative replace?

Nobody buys "a Mangools alternative." You replace a specific habit. Here's the mapping, app by app.

Mangools appWhat it doesClosest pick hereWhy
KWFinderLong-tail keyword researchSemrush, or Ubersuggest on a budgetBoth now surface AI prompt ideas beside keywords
SERPCheckerScores a single result pageSerpstatMulti-engine SERP and competitor data per keyword
SERPWatcherDaily rank trackingSE RankingTracks keyword positions and AI prompts together
LinkMinerBacklink prospectingAhrefsDeepest published link index of the eight
SiteProfilerSite-level authority and healthMoz Pro or SEOmatorDA-style score vs a full technical crawl
📌
Pro Tip: Start the migration with the app you opened most often last month, not the one with the most features. Everything else can stay on Mangools' free tier while you test the replacement.

One note on the KWFinder row, because it's the app most people are actually attached to. Long-tail discovery quality matters more than raw database size, and the reason is unglamorous: Ahrefs' own studies found that roughly 95% of keywords get ten or fewer searches a month, and about 96.55% of pages get no Google traffic at all. A bigger index mostly buys you more of that. What you want is a tool that surfaces the small-volume terms your buyers actually type, which is a different problem, and it's why we wrote a whole guide on keywords your tool reports as zero volume.

What are the best free Mangools alternatives?

The affordability question is doing real work on this SERP. One of the page-one results for "mangools alternative" is an r/SEO thread titled "Just one affordable tool, which one?" So here's a direct answer: you can cover four of Mangools' five jobs for nothing, if you accept the trade.

Demand for this stack is not small. Our 37 free tools were run by more than 500,000 people in 2026. The free keyword tool is 10.8% of those runs, but the fastest-growing tool in the whole set is the AI-visibility checker, at 3.4 times its January volume by July.

📊
By the Numbers: 500,000+ runs across our 37 free tools in 2026. The AI-visibility checker grew 3.4× between January and July, faster than any other tool in the set.

Now the honest limit, because a free-tools answer without one is a sales pitch.

A free tool gives you a snapshot, not a trend line, and trend lines are where SEO decisions get made. Our numbers show the gap: the median site checked through our free tools scores 63, a D+, against 71, a C+, for sites under continuous monitoring, and 62% of those free runs are first-time domains (January to July 2026). It isn't that the free tool scores harder. It's that sites nobody monitors are, on average, in worse shape.

So the free stack is a good answer if you run one site and check it monthly. It's a bad answer if you're responsible for rankings you have to report on, because you'll have no history to report from.

Which Mangools alternative should you pick?

Match the tool to the shape of your team and the size of the bill, not to the feature count.

One more thing I'd weigh before signing anything, and no vendor's pricing page mentions it. Across the category prompt sets we track, the top three brands capture about 58% of all AI mentions as of July 2026. Being fourth in AI visibility is closer to invisible than to the podium, a far harsher distribution than the blue-link SERP most of us grew up optimizing for. Our AI visibility audit will show you who the engines actually cite in your category.

That's not an argument for buying our tool over Ahrefs. It's an argument for buying something that reports on the surface where a growing share of your category's attention now lands. Three of these eight do.

🔑
Key Takeaway: The top 3 brands take about 58% of all AI mentions across the category prompt sets we track (July 2026). Fourth place in AI visibility is much closer to invisible than fourth place in the blue links.

Frequently asked questions about Mangools alternatives

What are the 5 best SEO tools?

For most teams in 2026: Semrush for breadth, Ahrefs for backlinks, SE Ranking for agency workflows, Ubersuggest for the smallest budgets, and SEOmator for technical audits plus AI visibility. Which five belong on your list depends entirely on which jobs you actually do weekly.

Is Mangools free?

Mangools has a free tier with daily lookup limits, not a free plan you can run a site on. Paid plans start at $61/month billed monthly, or $37.70/month effective on annual billing, verified on Mangools' own pricing page on 2 September 2026. The free tier is best treated as a trial.

Can I use Ubersuggest for free?

Yes, with limits. Ubersuggest has a free tier that allows a small number of daily searches, and paid access starts around $29/month. Ubersuggest also runs frequent promotions and one-time lifetime deals, so the price you see varies by the day you look.

What is the best free SEO tool?

Google Search Console, and it isn't close. It's the only source of your actual impression and click data straight from Google. Pair it with a free keyword tool, a free backlink checker and a free site audit, and you've covered four of Mangools' five jobs at zero cost.

What do Reddit users recommend as a Mangools alternative?

The r/SEO thread that ranks for this query is titled "Just one affordable tool, which one?" We're not going to summarize a live thread's consensus, because it changes weekly and quoting it would be putting words in strangers' mouths. What its ranking does tell you is that the real question behind this search is budget, not features.

How does Mangools pricing compare to Semrush and Ahrefs?

Mangools is cheaper by a wide margin. Basic runs $61/month list against Ahrefs Lite at $129 and Semrush's entry SEO plan at $117.33/month on annual billing. On annual-effective rates the gap widens: Mangools Basic is $37.70/month. You're paying roughly two to three times more for the bigger suites.

Which is better for beginners: Mangools or Ubersuggest?

Mangools is the friendlier interface; Ubersuggest is the cheaper entry and the only one of the two that documents AI-visibility tracking on every tier. If interface calm matters more to you, stay with Mangools. If you want AI results reporting at the lowest price, Ubersuggest wins on that one criterion.

Yes, and it's an upgrade rather than a swap. Ahrefs' link index is the benchmark most of the market is measured against, and Site Explorer covers everything LinkMiner does with far more depth. The catch is price: Ahrefs Lite at $129/month costs more than Mangools' entire Agency plan on annual billing.

What Mangools features are hardest to replace in another tool?

The interface, honestly. No single tool on this list matches the specific feeling of five small focused apps instead of one large dashboard. The mechanical replacement is easy, app by app. What you give up is simplicity, and that's a real cost worth naming.

Which Mangools alternative is best for agencies in 2026?

SE Ranking, on project allowances and white-label reporting. Core covers 10 projects, 2,000 keywords, 100 daily AI prompts and 250,000 pages a month of auditing at $103.20/month on annual billing. Semrush is the alternative if your agency sells paid media alongside SEO.

Wrapping Up

Over the years, I've found that life as an SEO specialist comes down to a simple, brutal fact: we're only as good as the tools we use. Working without a great tool is like trying to climb Mt. Everest in flip-flops, you won't get very far.

Mangools has earned its reputation as one of the friendliest toolsets in this category, and nothing here says otherwise. What's changed is the job. The result page a keyword tool has to describe in 2026 isn't the one it was designed to describe in 2019, and that's a better reason to reconsider your stack than any feature comparison.

Three takeaways from this update. Re-check every price yourself, because four of the nine tools here moved their lineups since the last edition. Replace Mangools one app at a time. And make AI visibility a column in your own comparison, because five of these eight vendors still don't put it on their pricing page.

Analyze your own needs, take the trials, and pick for the jobs you actually do on a Monday morning.
